help, vegan menu needed

hi all, i am having a work collegue and family round for dinner tomorrow, got everything sorted then this morning he said "by the way you do know my wife as vegan"

any ideas of a menu i can do for her, thanks

Try a google on 'Imam Bayildi' an aubergine dish which I often cook for my veggie friends, it always goes down well.

alternatively, nip to your local supermarket and have a look at what they do. some of the vegan/vegetarian ranges in the major supermarket chains are really nice and a bit different.

It's always nice if you can all have the same thing or at least have some things in common which makes her feel less "special",and "difficult" ,though I must admit vegans are way harder than veggies.
For instance, you could get vegan pasta and you could do a few different sauces,or a different main but all have the same veg trimmings.

It might be worthwhile asking her, what her incisors and molars are for. Humans are omnivores. Two of my friends are vegans are you are unlikely to see a more ill-looking couple outside of a mortuary - on that happy note....cheers Andy

For ACB,
Maybe we are still evolving and they are remnants ,maybe we have an appendix that isn't needed too.Being omnivores mean we have a choice,and actually although we have incisors, our guts our bowels aren't awfully good at digesting red meat.
Maybe most of the heavy meat eaters are the ones IN the mortuary. I have vegan friends that are very healthy, so don't talk b......cks!
It was an unhelpful and uneducated remark which
