I would imagine lamb with apricots and Cous cous would be quite a common dish. Google for recipes.
We've had this type of question being asked before.
Your friend should be happy to eat anything that you serve her, whether it is English food, Italian or French,
Are you going to try to cook the same food that she is used to eating in her country? First of all it wouldn't be as good as the authentic one.
Are you that narrow minded that you think that she must eat only Egyptian food because she is Egyptian. We're not all like the English! Sorry, not a personal attack.
If I was paying a visit to somebody in another country, I think I would be more interested in being fed something from their country not my own, which I can eat any time. Why don't you find out if there is anything they would really like to try that they don't get at home?
Got to agree. I would be disappointed if I went to Egypt and was served egg and chips.

There's a great search engine on the internet called 'google'. I searched for 'Egyptian recipe' on 'google' and found, amongst many others, this site
