All the advice is never ever put metal in a microwave - saying if you do it will arc, wreck your microwave, explode, set the house on fire etc.
Yet, the microwave manufacturers will tell you to shield certain things with foil, so it is clearly not absolute.
I have been freezing some portions of Moussaka in aluminium foil containers and it takes hours in the oven to thaw and re-heat, so I wondered about using the microwave. Looking on the internet there is loads of advice of "don't do it" and some videos of foil arcing and catching fire.
However, I found this research paper from the Aluminium Foil Industry, which says if you do it right, you CAN use foil containers....

I am tempted to experiment..... but first - anybody tried it, or know anything different?.........
