Inappropriate Christmas Presents
21 Answers
Following on from Dixie's Xmas thread what is the worst present you have ever received?
I am still wetting myself with laughter after talking to my daughter on the phone tonight. Her father and his wife go to Spain for the winter and he has given her her Xmas present before leaving the other day.
Said daughter is single, lives by herself in her own beautiful, but very small house, which just has enough room for a couple of sofas, a large TV, a large dog, and a very large wine rack. She enjoys dining out and never has dinner parties.
For Xmas he has bought her.....................A HOSTESS TROLLEY...................PMSL......

First Christmas after I married in 1978 I found two parcels wrapped up in the spare room, a large one and a smallish one, (we were in an RAF quarter), when we got back to lancashire for Christmas, Christmas morning at my mums my new husband gave me the small pardel to open, a wooden jewellry box (I have never worn jewellery), the large present never surfaced, Boxing Day at his mum's, my mother-in'law thanked me for the GoblinTeasmade, (I had bought her talcum powder!) . I have never forgotten that!
I must admit I did a very naughty thing when married to my first husband. One of his ladyfriends (unaware that I knew of their relationship) asked me what he'd like for Xmas and I told her he was mad on Kraftwerke. She duly bought the LP and gave it to him.........he hated them but I thought they were great.......
My sister in law (who hates me cos I've been married before and have a child and am much younger than my husband) bought me a Girls Night In set a couple of years ago. It was a set of invitations, pink nail varnish, a dice game - with suggestions such as 'manicure', 'facial', 'talk about boys' etc and was suitable for a teenage girl(I'm 37). Not only that but it had been opened and the jar of face mask was dried solid. The woman is loaded too!
