What can I eat after dental surgery?
16 Answers
I am having a surgical wisdom tooth extraction on Tuesday and am looking for inspiration of what I can eat for the rest of the week that won't be boring and will actually fill me up. I am bored to tears of people telling me to have soup or that I can eat ice cream all week. Only eating sweet stuff will drive me mad and I don't really like soup. Any inspired suggestions please?

i have just had an infection in my jaw so i know where your comimg from lol, i spent a week surviving on the following, scrambled egg, soup with soft lentils.tinned macaroni cheese or spaghetti, mushy peas, yogurt, ready brek, porridge, cous cous, custard. mashed banana, fruit smoothie drinks, yogurt drinks and thick milkshakes. Hope the surgery goes ok and its not too painful x
an update to help anyone else in future...
as I only had surgery on one side I could eat semi-normally on the other side. however the first few days i had restricted opening of my mouth and my jaw was sore so it had to be fairly soft finger food. after that it had to be food that didn't get mushed around my mouth too much when I ate it - so chopped up sausage and chips was ok, for example. however if I had extractions on both sides I am fairly sure I would have been on milkshakes for the week!
