Festering meat stuck in your colon?
30 Answers
Hello I keep on hearing about this from time to time. That meat eaters have usually old meat lodged in their colon for years. Now Im a carnivore bigtime and I just cant believe that food can be there that long without causing a major health complaint as infections and/or blockages occur. Surely our colons are not this fragile? We were born to be carnivores just look at our teeth! Can anyone shed some light on this for me please?

This was mentioned in The Times today, some celebrity (possibly Heather Mills) was quoted as saying that meat sits in your colon and gives you the disease you die from. A scientist said that meat was preocessed in the same way as any other food.

I find a lot of vegetarians like to state this as 'fact'. From what I can gather red meat is harder to digest and so should only be eaten twice a week, but should be digested within 3 days as with all other foods. As ummmm said we just eat too much meat these days and don't give our digestive system a lot of time to keep up!
