Sara.... have you tried making a prawn butter? Put some butter and cooked prawns into a food processor and whiz into a paste. Add some rock salt and a tbsp of vermouth and then heat in a pan and pour over a pan cooked fillet of cod.

hi NM :o)

I love prawns! sounds fab but can I substitute the vermouth for anything else?

^ warning, kitchen appliance stalker :)
It's just a cheapie I bought from the ferretería, Lamtaf.

Sara... the vermouth is optional but you could always add a table spoon of dry white wine. If the sauce looks like it is splitting, add a tiny bit of corn flour and keep stirring.

It's a shop that sells everything from batteries and pliers to kitchen equipment and wine buckets.
f fs NoM... can't you use a wine glass like everyone else...
pmsl...

Of course I meant an icebucket for standing the wine in ;-)

Steady on Chuck what exactly are you implying here?
LOL, I'm allowed to take the pee out of Essex. :)

thanks Chuck, but I'm not sure that's like the cod-in-butter-sauce kinda sauce. it just doesn't sound right.. not that I'm an expert, evidently!
