Only British tea-bags.
If I have a decent cuppa, I can cope with everything else...........

we do, my parents live in France and we always take Cheddar cheese,Marmalade, red and brown sauce, and wait for this, a full chinese meal, 4 x egg fried rice, sweet and sour sauce, and 4 mains and a box of prawn crackers to make when we get there. we order it the night before and when its cooled we freeze it and put it in the cool box.

oh and of course loads of t-bags.

Dave.

Sorry, Doc. I am inclined to disagree with you there. I much prefer continental cheeses. However, I prefer Swiss and Spanish to French.

Jack... yes, I always stock up on the tea bags when I go back to England. And I tend to buy loads of Knorr stock cubes, and that sort of thing.

LOL Webbo... I've done taken a take away abroad !

I have taken a 2 kilo joint of Topside.
just coffee. oh, and some decent chocolate!

I'm sure if I moved abroad I would need more.
Question Author
Sara.... what are you thinking??? The coffee on the continent is far superior to the stuff you buy in England !!

I can't stop laughing at Webbo taking a Chinese takeaway abroad !
I try to travel light.

I now have a full set of clothes and shoes at the BF's so I don't need any luggage.

And I never take food on holiday.
The best cheese we get when visiting my parents in France is a locally produced goats cheese, lovely on some fresh french baguette, trouble is it stinks a bit so i have to put it in the spare fridge in the barn.

Dave.
the "eating out" coffee is fine, but I've never found a villa with anything other than Nescafe (if I'm lucky) and a grubby kettle.
No, nothing at all.
Question Author
Oh I see what you mean, Sara !

Webbo... I love goats' cheese.
I once took some tea abroad as I knew it would make my then boyfriend smile as we'd be travelling and getting in quite late. Otherwise the only british classic I take with me might be a bit of Austen for some beach reading.
I actually drive past the goats on the way to the market on a saturday morning.

the little old lady that sells the cheese sits under the main building in the pic, by the 4th pillar along.
