You've got a hot date coming up. A nice man takes you to a lovely steak restaurant, where he orders a hefty lump of sirloin (with extra chips) and you order... a salad, apparently.

That's right. It's long been claimed that girls barely nibble on a lettuce leaf on dates, but a new research suggests this might actually be true.

i've ordered salad quite a few times for me depends purely on what i fancy so if i want steak i'll have it, if i want salad i'll have that, although in that scenario above i'll be likely to order steak and salad with a bowl of fries to dip into on the side

I'd have the steak too, no way would I have just a salad, unless of course it's servied WITH the steak and chips.

I don't really see how you can be expected to get jiggy on an empty stomach anyway. Admittedly you don't want to be full to bursting/wanting to puke point (so my home made nachos are off the menu) but you want enough in there to give you energy and make you feel warm. It's hard getting in the mood when your bits are freezing cause all you ate at dinner was a lettuce leaf and smelt the mints on your way out.

I'd only ever go to a restaurant for the 4th or 5th date (on the basis that there is nothing worse than sitting through a meal with a complete ogre). By then, I'd stuff my face with whatever I fancied, whether it be salad, steak or a combination of the two!
