poodi,
is that the recipe of the BBC Good food website?
Are you serious?

Why would I "bake" ?

(except on a sun lounger, with a large G and T, obviously)

Aren't you tempted? http://www.bbcgoodfoo...4672/freezer-biscuits
Think I paid a pound for the bag, had to give it a try! Saves all the peeling.
Tempted to eat them, sachs ...

But there is no parallel universe in which I would try to make them !!

Hi poodi , I baked at the weekend , sponge cake , cheese scones ,sausage
rolls . But I have recipe for a railway ginger cake , I got the recipe out of a
newspaper years ago , nothing like the shop stuff , black treacle , ginger...
so that is on the agenda this weekend .
I feel a bit weak.

I need to sit down.

With a large vodka.
Question Author
hi only why is it called a railway ginger cake
i don't normally bake, can't be done with all that weighing and mess, although i do enjoy cooking. however, i've been making those all bran cakes since the recipe was posted here a few weeks ago. i even went out and bought 2 more loaf tins so i could make and bake 4 at a time. also use the paper cake tin liners from lakeland so can knock out 4 cakes very quickly - 15 minutes to make the mix and 55 minutes to bake.
i have my mum's recipe for lemon drizzle cake, not made it for years but it was totally delicious :)
