Dandelion Dilemma.?!!
4 Answers
Is it true or did I dream it.?
I recall that way back ( latter part of 1940's) spending school holidays with an aunt and uncle in Reading and was always taken to see my uncles parents. My recollection is that my aunt's father-in-law had a simple garden tool for removing dadelions from his lawns.I can only describe it as being like a corkscrew on the end of a waist high shaft with a T-handle. The 'corkscrew' was screwed into the centre of the nuisance plant and with an upwards pull was removed as if taking a cork from a bottle.
If it's a dream , perhaps, subconsciously, I've invented something which, now I've disclosed it, could be patented and on the market before I've made a test item.

Sorry Ron, back to the drawing board, that's already been done...

Your recollections are correct, Vivian, such a tool has been around for a long time. (Too bad, Lucy!!). Here's one presently available...

And I was about to put a proposal to you Lucy that we got together and shared the profits from the invention. However ,Robinia and heathfield have shattered any ideas in that direction. The've certainly screwed-up my plans.
Strange that such a tool is not available from local garden centres and DIY stores.
Thanks folks....I might now get one......Ron.
