As with all food and drink. If it says 'use by' then do as it says as the product will deterioate rapidly from this date. However, if it is a 'best before' date, then all it means is it won't taste quite as good, the longer after that date consume it .

ps. After the first couple of glugs you won't know the difference, get it down ya!

ummmm........still a stupid answer.........
I don't think Ibizaboy answer is stupid, makes sense to me.

I've had grape juice sitting for two years and it tasted like wine when it was opened.
sorry i meant to say Theklap answer is stupid.

Use it for cooking. Ie Pork in Cider. But it should still be ok to drink.

It's worthwhile knowing that something that has passed its Best Before Date, is NOT "out of date". Only produce with a qualifying (ie Use By) date can be deemed out of date when it has gone past the given date.

I used to drink so much cider that the next morning I sometimes would wish that it had killed me.

No it will kill you............
I've never kept alcohol (especially cider) long enough to go out of date, but seriously so long as the tins aren't damaged or the bottle tops loose it should be ok, after all they don't have a magic gizmo that makes them go off when the date comes round
give it to your granny to sap her aching joints. :-)
Open a bottle and try it ..
You can preserve stuff in alcohol......why should it go off ?
Is the date a sell-by date or a use-by date ?
