How often do you eats pies?

I can honestly say I don't think I've eaten one since I was a kid. It was a chicken and mushroom pukka pie.

I made one this very morning and it's sat in my fridge waiting to be cooked for supper tonight. Poached chicken, carrots, celery, onion, leek, bacon and mushroom, all bound up with a wine sauce, proper shortcrust pastry (lard AND butter). What's not to like?

I had pie last night... steak and ale...

Do you eat all the pastry snags? It makes me feel sick...although I do like filo pastry.
I'm getting quite in to pie lately.
I was going to make a pie on Monday night but we had a power-cut...........I couldn't be bothered to make pastry by the light of candles and the camping lantern so I cooked a stew, instead.
It was a pub one... the filling was in a dish with crust just over the top. The person I was with kept dipping her chips in to it. Pleb.

Try a good old London Pie n Mash with a portion of stewed eels & liquor
luverly you cant beat it !!! If you don't live in London look it up on the web

of the country..

Stewed eels..........noooooooooooooo

What is the liquor? Gravy?
It's like a thick white gravy with parsley, it's great with lashings of vinegar.
''i hope you slapped her hand snags''

No chance... her 'hand to chip to pie to mouth' action was too quick...
Question Author
Still no to the eels though.....

I would try Pie & Mash if I was in London.
