Many years ago we had an open wall rack which kept becoming dusty an greasy; so we transfered all the jars into a wall cupboard. However, it then became frustrating when trying to find the item which was required. Hence the way that we now store Herbs & spices.

A couple of 8" diameter sponge tins will hold more than 2dozen standard sized jars and it's an easy matter to turn the tin, whilst in position on the shelf, to find what is wanted.

A similar storage arrangement applies under our kitchen sink, but using a large, oblong, plastic washing-up bowl to house the Bleach, Spare washing-up liquid, Cream cleaner, etc. etc. Pull the bowl forward without having to move the items within the cupboard.

I have the ones I use on a regular basis on one of those hanging racks from a bar on the wall. The others I keep on a shelf in the pantry.

We really don't really know how to react at this stage to the replies which we have had.So we'll just say B00 fo the moment.!!

Incidentally, we are now asking ourselves, "Is there such a thing as an ' oblong ' plastic bowl which we claim to have under our sink.?"

Perhaps we are a pair of Herbs.......V & R.

I use those stepped mini shelves that look like a stairway. All the jars are fully visible, and selecting the ones you want couldn't be easier. Rummaging is a thing of the past!
i have a metal rack which covers the inside of a kitchen cupboard door so all of mine are visible and easy to find - i have to say i spent a few months looking for something that would be easy for me so select the correct one and the best way to store them and i am very pleased with what i decided upon its ideal.
Think I'll do like you Boo and get only ONE jar with a combination of mixed herbs and spices.

society.. I don't that B00 has a jar of both herbs and spices mixed together... Although such a combo could be very interesting; especially for a Curry.
