Sounds a total nonsence, are the franchisees Mouslim by any chance.
It is a commercial organization though so they can do as they please, people can vote with their feet. Looks like a good spot for one of those other didy fried chicken places to open next door !

Because, Haggisdj, like every follower of religion, they bend or break the rules of their religion to fit in with their own particular circumstances.

What I (rather clumsilly) meant was, if I went to KFC or McSh!te or, for that matter, La Gavroche (I wish) or anywhere, and I was told the only meat being served was Halal meat, I couldn't care less if I tried.
I regularly use a Halal butcher close to me.
I guess what I'm saying is - so what if they are only serving Halal meat. Is it really such an issue that somebody can't have a piece of bacon on their chicken burger?
