Many years ago when Berni Inns were about, it was said that the country's fav meal was prawn cocktail, then rump steak followed by black forest gateau. Now they reckon it's chicken tikka masala or sweet and sour pork!

My favourite is Itallian. The chicken tika thing was a myth. Britains favourite dish is still fish and chips.

Thai at a friend's restaurant. All cooked from scratch by him and authentic. Absolutely wonderful and no monosodium glutomate.

I only go out to eat food now that I couldn't/wouldn't cook myself at home. I like my own steaks.
starter: fresh oysters or jellied eels

main: grilled crustacions & garlic bread.....

dessert: fresh papaya & lemon

Ooooh...mouth watering !
A nice Indian meal I enjoy, but I love Chinese food.
I haven't been to an Indian or Chinese for years....

The last meal out I went for I had Prawn cocktail for starters and he had Snails.....both lovely.

I also like Vietnamese and Thai....
Sushi
i remember having that very bernie inn 3 course meal once a month on a thursday lunchtime when it was pay day, many moons ago.

Actually, I do enjoy eating in Bella Italia as well, especially when it's on Tescos (vouchers!).
