okay, so in a moment of madness I said I'd bake cakes for the team at work. I so don't bake cakes!
does anyone have any sure-fire, impressive recipes? I guess I need to make about 12 individual cakes. I was thinking chocolate chip muffins.. I can see recipes online, but are they idiot proof? I don't want to be buying fancy equipment that I'll never use again, and only have a hand-blender. (I have an oven, lol!)
I have no ingredients and will be going shopping later today, and will have a practice run first :o)
Did you bake 'em from scratch? If so, hats off to you. My forte is purely in the eating of, not the making of- which is happen just as well or i'd be 20 stone!
r u still after a recipe. i used to make lots of different cakes in the 90´s.
the 1 which is idiot proof, needs no scales,Bread Pudding. i made some yesterday 1st time in years, perfect. so if u r interested. let me know
I just weigh 3 or 4 eggs, and match that weight with s/r flour, margarine and sugar. Beat the marg first til pale and creamy, add sugar, then flour sifted in. I use electric whisk. Turn cake mixure into greased tins and back for 30 mins at gas mark 6.
sorry sara3, all my other million recipes need lots of messing about, the b.pudding is the only 1 which is very simple.
what about chocolate brownies? if you like em, i´m sure you´ll find a recipe on the internet. they´re not too complex to make i´m sure
its ok sara, i´ve been making cakes since i was 10. i can remember making 48, yes 48 mince pies for xmas once. took a while to make, but gone in seconds.that was 40 yrs ago.
