i have sachets of 7gs of yeast, how much flour do i need to use with one sachet? I know its half a cup of warm water and a tblspoon of oil but i can never remember how much flour to use, please help, i know the measurements and method for everything else . . . .

I thought you weren't allowed to cook your own food..!!
about 1 pound of flour, around 500g or a bit less - you might need more water than that pet, depends on how much gluten is in the flour don't forget to put in a pinch of sugar to feed the yeast, and a pinch of salt for taste

sorry mercia, i did see your post, thanks for the help, although i did find that a bit too much so i probly put 400-450g in, but i hadn't got the foggiest how much to put in before.

umm, i've missed doctor who for the last two weeeks now because i've been cooking and now i have to wait hours maybe days before last nigths will download on the iplayer.
I use a jamie oliver recipe which is 500g flour to one sachet of yeast
