the only nice thing my mum can cook is a fruit crumble, but even that goes slightly wrong.
Even though we don't add juice to it, juice always bubles over the top . Also the crumble topping doesn't cook properly and is still doughy even when the very top is starting to burn, but if we made it realy thin, then even more juice would spew out of the top, so we can't win.
We try and be healthy and in custard, you can't even tell the difference, anyways we don't have full fat milk in the house, even dad has semi skimmed (because mum was nagging him for years)
Splenda is saccherine....too much gives you the runs. Healthy is blue top milk, cane sugar & Tesco own flour @ 49p kilo.....Am way older than you & healthy (atm) :)
Tambo, if i'm only making it for myself i just do it in the bowl, i worked out how much of eevrything i need per bowl of milk so i don't even need to dirty the jug.
find a crumble recipe with oats in it. These are always a winner. Additionally if you're always dissapointed with the crumble (coz there doesn't seem enough!) then times the ingredients for the crumble by 1 and half (keep fruity bit the same)
(eg if recipe says 4 oz sugar - use six)
