What's an "outsider of bread" haysi? Is it a crust?

Mine would be a doorstop of unsliced bread, proper butter, a portion of chips from my local Italian takeaway (I can't keep down chip shop chips for some reason), Salt `n' Vinegar and a moderation of Tomato Ketchup.

Heinz Salad Cream does not compute. It's SALAD cream. Blergh!!!
