Rhubarb !

Good morning to one and all. Hope everyone had a good weekend and made hay while the sun shone. Overcast but the sun trying to get out here in North Norfolk .Have had my first attempt at making wine, rhubarb from the garden now brewing nicely in the airing cupboard hoorah looks good. Cheers to all .

Good luck to you lottie - I was brought up with gallon jars surrounding me as my mother was a champion wine maker - don't drink much of it myself

oh dear home made wine means BIG hangovers sounds like a great use for rhubarb though

Redman 41 I don't know what strength will be I think you can get a tester kit but am knew to this so its trial and error.My parents home made wine used to be lethal those were the days

Buy a hydrometer if you want to work out alcohol strengths. They're only a couple of quid from Homebrew shops or Wilcos etc.

Be careful with that home brew Lottie - my ex used to make it. My goodness it could blow your socks off! I think I largely used it as drain cleaner.
