late September, a fortnight in the Caribbean on a luxury yacht, BUT doing all the cooking for crew and another couple on board - or Christmas / New Year in New York in a decent hotel
Definitely the yacht the sea and the cooking.... love cooking anyway couldn't think of anywhere worse than new york especially at a time when everyone was pretending to enjoy themselves.....
if there is only another couple on board then you won't be cooking for that many.
take the caribbean option. Take loads ready break, and pot noodles SORTED!
Spent a couple of weeks on a yacht in the Virgin Islands about 10 years ago and the girl who was the galley girl managed really well to do the food but there was plenty of time for her to enjoy the sailing and evening thingies as well
Quite frankly, the cooking doesn't bother me, it's the heat. I know being on the sea it'll be cooler, but I can't stand the sun. and New York, well...been there, done that, I'd rather stay at home, but then it sounds like I'm being miserable!
Let me go on the yacht in your place then Mercia - I can cook, I can crew, I can do a mean cocktail, I can sail & navigate. (However, I don't do the cleaning.....)
I hate the heat also. Would love to do New York in the snow and see all the Christmas windows, although I am sure the cold won't do my ankle any good lol
