Wednesday's Menu - got people coming for dinner - Vegetarian option for those etc - Okay today we have the choice of:

starters: Guacamole, Hummous, taramasalata and Tzatziki with warm Pitta bread
OR
Chicken and sweetcorn soup (clear broth)
OR
Deep fried and crumbed Brie with fruity redcurrant sauce

Mains:
Chinese Banquet to include: Sweet and Sour pork, lemon chicken, stir-fried beef with straw mushrooms, Singapore style nodles with char-sui pork and prawns, Vegetable spring rolls (homemade, with proper 'pastry' from chinese shop!) prawn crackers 'money bags' with minced pork, prawns ginger and spring onion, stir fried vegetables,( mange tout, pak choi, baby sweetcorn, onion, beansprouts, bamboo shoots and water chestnuts,) boiled rice.
OR

Chicken Kiev, salad, spicy jacket wedges
OR

Cottage Pie made with best minced steak and onions in a rich gravy , topped with creamy mashed potatoes, served with baby carrots and peas

Puds:
Raspberry cheesecake
OR
syrup sponge
OR
fresh fruit flan

15 cheeses, crackers grapes and celery

Coffee etc, cold wine, ciders lagers bitters and stout

I can't decide on the starter today so I would like both the dips and pitta and brie please and I'm not too fussed that there isn't a veggie option as I like chicken kiev and I'll have the syrup sponge for dessert, thanks!

done it again haven't I STOOPID is what I is!!

Vegetarian option!:
Spanish Omelette with yellow and reb diced peppers, peas and potato
OR
Greek style stuffed peppers with rice, olives, feta cheese diced tomato and fresh basil
OR
Roast vegetable Lasagne
Oh I like all those veggie options, so I'm just going to be greedy today and have everything! lol

Greedy, I hadn't made a cottage pie in ages, and when I was at the farm in Devon the other week, the kids couldn't get enough of it, even chose it over pizza and homemade burgers!!

I bought a fancy supermarket one the other day and it was nice but not fantastic. I shall have to stop being lazy and make my own!

Organic mince is down in price at M&S
And another thing - 2 tablespoons of gin in the red current sauce makes it last longer and taste better

I'll have the Chinese banquet with lots of wine please. Don't think I'll manage a pud after that!
Right here goes..Warm pitta bread for starters, i'm going to be a savage and have all 3 mains haha..Mmmm haha oh and raspberry cheesecake and syrup sponge (What syrup?) Loads cheese and white wine..Yummy :)

Made especially for you woofie my man, juice of 10 lemons (organic, unwaxed) 3-4oz sugar, ice-cubes, fresh water, lemonbalm leaves and a lemon slice to decorate
