Hi Doc, glad to know you're not suffering this morning!!! Hope you had a great one yesterday!!
mercia, ignore it, you have no need to justify or explain.
many people, including myself, don't join in with the 'i'll have this or that thing' but i certainly enjoy reading your menus and they definitely give me some ideas for what to make here at home.

How can I put this - I learnt all I know from my mother and grandmother, (My gran had 3 girls and 4 boys, all the lads learnt too - this was just around 2nd world war-time when 'chefs' were rare and all but foreign!) They all still cook and have taught their family's too.

Anyway, to get on in the world I did a cookery course to get paper qualifications - I've cooked all over the world, Europe (Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Spain, France, Ireland) Asia (China, Malasia, Thailand, Japan
Australia and North America, and Brazil in the south.
I used to run my own catering company till I had a bad car accident, and now I cook many dinner parties as My hubby's work demands a lot of entertaining!
