I've just been to a local well known supermarket and I it REALLY annoys me when people leave their trolleys just left in the middle of the aisle or an an angle so others can't get past.
Also, when people have conversations whilst blocking the aisle also. this is REALLY annoying.
Please can I ask the general public, to at least show a little consideration with their trolley and when blocking aisles whilst having a conversation with a neighbour. Maybe this will help to make our lives that little bit easier.
Does anyone else get really annoyed by others with their careless attitudes with trolleys.
Havent been to a supermarket for ages for just these reasons. I hate shopping whether it is food, clothes Xmas etc. Get my groceries delivered every Wednesday, I would rather pay for delivery than to be in a bad mood for the whole of the day I had to go into a supermarket. Shop for everything on line as far as possible
I can`t stand it when someone (usually male) stands too close to me in the check out queue. When I shuffle forward to get away from them, they shuffle forward as well. I have been known to turn around and tell them to stand further away. They never seem particularly surprised that I have asked. Funny that.
Actually, I must admit that makes me cross as well. It is totally rude and I actually tell people to move away before I use the card machine. And yes it is usually men!!
I have to say there are some lovely lovely staff in a lot of the ones I go in in town but one young girl in Tescos ID'd me for cigarettes, was feeling quite smug being 31 until she looked at my ID and remarked how I was slimmer in the photo.
Not long after I noticed that they had spent so long doublebagging a bottle of wine for me that they had forgotton to scan it so I just forgot to go back in and tell them, I figured they owed me one! :)
Haha, it was only a cheap bottle so I didn't feel as bad. I'm not sure it was even me who drank it in the end, I think it was for a house party on pancake night and was busy cooking pancakes and have a feeling I couldn't actually even drink that night!
yes its annoying when things are in your way... but there is nowhere in a supermarket aisle to put a trolley that will not be in someones way...its not possible as its depends on what shelves people are trying to get to...so what do you exepct them to do?
just get on with their shopping and let other people work round them...or spend the whole time moving the trolley around for fear of being in someones way?
Absolutely Joko. And I have never received any abuse for saying excuse me, although a man accused me of not saying 'excuse me' when he decided to bend down and get something from a bottom shelf as I was passing and my trolley collided with his bum!!
