Well guys, I'm going to push the boat out today and do some real cooking.
I'm making Moroccan Lamb Tangine with fruity cous cous and may attempt to make some Moroccan flat breads. This I will serve with a nice, spicy Aussie Shiraz.
No starters, no puds and definitely no selection of 27 different cheeses.
Going shopping in a bit so not sure. Hopefully I'll be able to get some live muscles and cook with wine, shallots, chilli, cream and serve with crusty bread.
O I have been tempted by Lamb Tagine after seeing Lynne Franks on Come Dine With Me.I'll maybe try that next weekend when Harrys home.
Im going make myself a chicken broth. Two punnets of strawberries for afters.Thats as good as it gets but still tasty :)
Just asked Mrs sqad what we are having for dinner and she replied "Wait and see"
BUT....just had eggs, bacon, fried mushrooms toast and marmalade and coffee, cooked by Mrs sqad clothed in a fine cotton dress, with no bra and knickers on. I remarked that she looked quite desirable and she remarked "Don´t be silly"
There must be tens of thousands of wives out there just hoping for a remark like that ,but not Mrs sqad.
ummm -I really need some of your fish recipes honestly :) Can you just add when you post how youre cooking it
O and the brocolli and stilton soup -yummy -not straighforward for me lol
NoM -tempted to fire into a punnet just now since you mentioned it :)
If you like muscles it's one of the easiest things to cook. Live muscles are essential though. The difference is amazing.
I clean them and soak them in cold water.Heat up a large pan....fry some shallots, chilli and garlic for a few mins. Throw in the muscles add a splash of wine and put the lid on. Check after 2 to 3 mins. When the muscles are opened add some cream, stir and dish up. Delish :-)
o ummmm -that sound ace and Harry loves mussels but neither one of us have felt up to the challenge.I am soo gonna try it.
Where do you get live mussels -dont laugh....
