It'll be fine and will probably last at least another year when opened. If you're unsure send it to me and I'll test it. Might not be much left after testing though!!

Advocaat usually take about 6 years to drink ...

The elderly Great Aunt has a glass each Christmas, and then the bottle goes away until next year.

Well, that USED to be true. But nowadays ...

Before Christmas, you go and buy a case of 12 bottles, and you pals come round and get totally trolleyed on Snowballs.

1 part Advocaat
2 parts lemonade
Shot of lime juice
Shot of Vodka
Cocktail cherry (just dropped into the glass so you swallow it when you finish the glass)

I get a bottle every Christmas and have a good swig every morning until its all gone

I've not heard of Snowballs for years Jane, When I was a lad it was THE drink with the girls unless she was special or you really fancied your chances then it was Brandy and Babycham not heard of either of them for years let alone seen anybody drink them

I thought it went off once it was opened, like Bailey's, but then a bottle of Bailey's in our house doesn't last long.

Snowballs went out of fashion for years, Paddy ...

Then, all of a sudden, they came back into vogue when we started to remember how jolly they are.

But you need the lime and Vodka, to give them an edge ... otherwise it's just an Advocaat and lemonade, like your Great Aunt used to drink.

And you don't put the cherry on a cocktail stick ... that's just chavy.
