My fiance and I are taking out our little girl of 9 months tomorrow and we will be out over her lunch time... In the past, I have attempted to feed her jarred food while we are out, however, she is really not impressed and sticks her lips together and turns her head away in protest, this is mainly due to me only really feeding her home cooked meals all other times. Whilst I would take one of these meals tomorrow, I'm not sure about the baby facilities of where we are going, and if I will be able to warm her meal.
I will often giver her items for snack like cucumber, carrot sticks and tomatoes, however, because the gummy little miss still has no teeth, she only really gnaws ant them and sucks all the juice out, so I don't really think that this is the best option as I'm not sure it will be sufficient to fill her up.
I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas of other things that we could take with us for her lunch, a colleague suggested sausage rolls, but (Without meaning to sound disrespectful to anyone that does feed their children things like this) I really don't see these as a healthy option for a 9 month old.
Any ideas would be gratefully recieved,

I don't have a flask, and rather ionically, we were going to get one this weekend for occasions such as this, but I don't have time to get one before tomorrow...
I've not tried to give her her food cold, but I'm not sure I'd like cold mixed veg or cauliflower cheese.
I guess I'm just going to have to hope that the place we are going to has a microwave or warming facilities.
another thing i used to do was add a fruit pot or petit felou to the mashed up banana and digestive to bulk it up a bit and make it more of a meal than a pudding
my little one was like yours, to used to my home cooked meals and i found she'd only take about 2 spoons of a jar then screw her face up. sometimes when out and about she would get a rather random lunch, even two fruit courses. but i just thought for the amount of times we went out 2 fruit courses wasn't a big deal as that stage soon passes and there eating the same as us.
The bread tends to go gummy and she chokes on it... I think I may have raised a fussy child!! I like the potato idea though and cottage cheese.... did you just boil the potatoes?

Make her something else then. Not eating veg for lunch for 1 day is hardly going to do her any harm. It's a day out...give her a treat and a packet of wotsits on hand...
If the food has already been cooked could you not put it in a freezer bag and when its lunchtime put the bag in a bowl of hot water to warm it through? Not so much boil in the bag as vaguely tepid in a bag!
yeah, i just boiled the potatoes the night before then took them out the next day then added to cottage cheese when needed. when she got a bit bigger i added small peices of pineapple to it
even natural yoghurt in with the banana is good. to bulk it up even more you can add and avacado but i always like to travel as light as i could so the banana, yoghurt and digestive worked a treat. i found giving her just banana once was not enough!!
i'm not sure how she is with lumps but i used to also boil carrot sticks then when out cut them into little finger peices that she wouldn't choke on. now shes bigger i still boil them and serve cold with dips as she did chock on a carrot stick once
Ummm, I was working on the assumption that where they would stop for lunch would at least have facilities for making hot drinks even if it doesn't have a microwave.
it is handy though to have something that you can russtle up and feed in the back seat just in case you get delayed and don't get to a microwave in time.
does she like eggs, they could also be prepared in advance
