Incidentally, Magners reported a return to growth yesterday, after three years of sales being in the doldrums. They attributed the turnaround to an increase in the sales of their pear cider which, coincidentally, is exactly what Babycham is ;-)
When I was a kid my father would head off to the pub every night, asking my mother what she'd like brought back. She usually chose either a Babycham or a Cherry B. It's only in recent years that I've come to realise that what she'd really have liked my father to bring back was some of the housekeeping money which he was always spending on beer!

Port and Lemon which was my mums occasional tipple. First time I had a proper drink in a pub I had half of lager and lime, and to this day I can't abide lime. First time getting drunk was when I worked for the Royal Bank of Scotland in New Bond Street, Christmas Party, vodka and lime (I don't learn). They found me up in the banking hall, waving to passers by through the locked doors! Now its just the occasional pint of cheap and nasty, fizzy, mass produced, full of chemicals lager.
