The packets say not suitable for freezing, but how much taste/ texture do they lose? Or would they even give you food poisoning if frozen?

It's says they're not suitable for home freezing but I end up wasting half the packet as there's only two of us to eat it.

There's a difference between not suitable and do not freeze though. Not suitable means they lose a bit of flavour or texture usually, but how much?

If it says not suitable for freezing, that would mean they don't want you to freeze them to me. What is it you don't understand?
Hardly likely to give you food poisoning. Make twice as much and freeze half..
tell you what, why don;t you try it then come back and tell us
