Was just eating my dinner

and I have come to a sudden stop. My dad buys all his groceries froms Lidl and he bought me some haddock in breadcrumbs. As I'm eating it I have noticed that not only does it still have the skin on and there are a few bones, it still has scales on it! What is it with Lidl?! I don't even shop there myself but when I've eaten something from there at my parents something isn't quite right with their products.

I guess its a case of you get what you pay for in Lidl. My mum got some humous from there a few months ago and they'ed forgot to put some of the ingredients. It tasted disgusting.

I hate to say it, but Lidls also have some very good stuff as very as grotty stuff. There german food annd other european food is usually very good and their chocolate is known to be excellent - Plantation Estate. (Look up the reviews).
I don't buy their meat or fish, but their veg are usually excellent and local. Lidl is really no different from any other supermarket - their goods come from various sources and nothing is 'own brand'.
You just have to get to know what is good and what is not - same as any other shop.
