Getting cooking oil off clothes.
19 Answers
I'm very partial to a fry for my breakfast most mornings. I've noticed recently that a lot of my t-shirts have got marks on them that look like it is from a drop of water or something but they are permanent. I'm pretty sure these marks are being caused by the cooking oil spattering from the pan while I'm cooking. Is there any way to get rid of these spots by cleaning rather than resorting to having to wear a apron?

In the absence of such a product, I can only suggest acetone (which, until somebody bans it, can still be purchased as nail polish remover). That, combined with pads of kitchen tissue on either side of the oil deposit should get rid of the fat. However, if the hot oil has actually bleached the colour from the t-shirt, removing the fatty deposit won't fix the problem.
