home delivery problems 5 weeks running.
last night we took our delivery as normal and thought it could be the 1st ever correct delivery. upon unpacking it wasn't, we had out of date pork pie sent and chickens weren't delivered but had been charged. exactly the same as the week before. 2 weeks ago we had an out of date chicken sent.
customer services is in SOUTH AFRICA. apart from watchdog and store manager who can i raise the problems with as the store seem to be doing diddly squat about it.

also if there is anything wrong next i've advised them i'm taking the lot back in person and having the store up in the air over it, with full refund and travelling expenses.
i keep all the receipts and write notes on the back as to what they say or do, so i can back track on things that correspond to certain deliveries.
i'm that close to using tesco....

PS have you tried contacting them on-line ? http://your.asda.com/section-contact-asda Their HO seems to be in Leeds, not South Africa - is that where their call centre is (not that this should be relevant)?
the drivers drop the food off and go before i can check or sign anything.
i have been to the website and the 0844 number is south africa, no offence but why cant i speak to someone in uk that can sort it out rather than someone 1/2 way round the world.
i have just e-mailed watchdog regarding this (maybe asda like bad publicity).
i've also told them next time food standards agency will be involved and i may eat the next meat product to get medical reports of "food poisoning" from their out of date food products then will take them to court...
i believe its down to daft management letting the pickers get away with it and they'l keep doing it.
i've worked at places (skilled jobs) where if you forget a coloured sticker thats 1/4 the size of a 1p piece i'd have got a warning....
obviously their has to be something from the managers in place as its food.

have to say we found asda great when we used to use them for home delivery. it's our local supermarket and we were familiar with their products so that's why we used them. there were a few substitutions, most of which i was happy with. i rang once when they delivered me something i'd not asked for (or been charged for) and they told me to either use it if i wanted to, or bin it. we used them for about 6 months with christmas slap in the middle, and from the beginning of december we got a 6 pack of mince pies every week for free.
my son uses tesco home delivery and from what he's said, their service is much the same as asda, mostly good but occasional mistakes. either you're prepared to accept that there will be an occasional blip but still worth it for the convenience, or you're not. your choice.

I think most people will accept occasional mistakes,or the lack of particular items. This will occur when shopping in person also.
What is totally unacceptable is the inclusion of out-of-date products-poultry in particular. Maybe the items were in date when the order was packed?...but even so-it would be up to the common sense of the packer to see ahead to when the delivery is actually in your hands.

How on earth will it happen again if you are going elsewhere?
"i've advised them i'm taking the lot back in person and having the store up in the air over it"
What?? you taking back your shopping is going to levitate the shop is it?
Any way, i agree witht he others, instead of getting you knickers in a twist, just shop somewhere else and bin asda off
