Prison Food + Plasma TV what next ?

I was listening to the Radio yesterday and they were speaking to a Chef who works for The Prison Service ,he was saying that they serve 3 hot meals a day to prisioners plus snacks he was saying the quality of the food is very good,Is this true what is the food like ,
What do you think about the Prison serving 3 Hot meals a day is this right ,what sort of punishment is this ,and they don't have to wash the dishes ,then of they go to watch their Plasma TV's !

Well do you suggest they starve prisoners then? Meals when I was prison weren't particlarly nice but I daresay they were balanced enough nutritionall y since I didn't lose vast amounts of weight when I was in there. If you are in the 'holiday camp' idea of prison, let me tell you it's miserable, lonely, boring and not at all the way you would imagine, certianly no...

If you are in the 'holiday camp' idea of prison, let me tell you it's miserable, lonely, boring and not at all the way you would imagine, certianly no plasma screen TV's by right, any priviledges however small had to be earned over long periods of time.
i think it's totally proper that anyone gets fed three times per day going back to your question, and if they didn't feed people properly they would have a lot more order offences going on in prison, so it's just common sense really.

I have to agree with nox on this - not least because he speaks from personal experience.
The simple fact is, even if it was wall-to-wall TV showing Kylie concerts 24/7 - the simple fact is, it's prison, something the majority of the free media, and readers, seem to forget.
The isssue of the loss of liberty is massive, something I am sure that is far more of a punishment than most people comprehend.
