like fermenting spirits in old oak barrels
Yeah, what does she drink?
Question Author
Tea, coffee, fruit juice, water.
And one day a week she eats just grapes? Nothing else at all? She's 84 and you're concerned?
Question Author
She only started doing it recently.
Have you tried asking her why?
Question Author
Yet on the other days she'll eat stuff like beef stew, fish and chips or a roast dinner.
There is nothing nourishing in grapes, high sugar and some fibre.
Question Author
She wants to lose weight and drop a dress size i think, at 84, nearly 85!
ahhh yes the drop a dress size grape diet, i tried it, drank nothing but wine for a month, not sure about a dress size def lost my mind a few times
Suggest she goes on the wine and stress diet
Is it your nan, Molls?
Question Author
yes society. They're careful with their money and hardly ever have alcohol btw.
She can't be that careful with her money if she can afford to buy a load of imported grapes at this time of year - they cost a fortune
Grapes do contain lots of sugar so eating a whole lot won't help much with dieting. Why not suggest to her a diet of small, regular meals with more salads, fish, water, whole grains etc.

grapes = sugar = fat
