Chocolate fountain question

I received one of these for christmas and haven't put it up yet but will be doing so tomorrow at the family roast lunch. I've noticed that both dark and chocolate can be used so I wondered could I substitute chocolate and use custard or gravy instead?

Because we're having a roast and I thought it would be a good idea to have chicken,sprouts and roast potato on the skewers to put under the gravy fountain or pieces of cake for the custard fountain

It would be disgusting, the gravy lumps would bung the whole thing up. Gravy and custard are not the same consistency as liquid chocolate.

Boxtops maybe using a blitzer and sieve to break up any offending lumps would be great idea and also make the custard/gravy really smooth and watery.
