Am I the only one here sick of buying cheap iceland cheesecakes?

I've got to the conclusion that they're cheap, too sweet and stodgy. Is there any shop brought ones that actually taste out of this world or would it be better to make your own?

Make your own, much nicer than shop-bought ones.

I make my own cheesecakes using Philly and mascapone cheese and bake them. They're better than the cheap sh!te from the shops.

Asda do a gorgeous one in their fresh cake range it is beautiful but nowhere near as cheap as you describe

Most of the shop bought ones won't taste very nice once you've made your own.
If I buy one-it's plain...no fruit. Much nicer.

Easiest things in the world to make. You can either make your own biscuit base (or cheat and buy a pastry base from the supermarket), Mix up a tub or two of mascapone with some honey and spread over base, add a thick layer of sliced strawberries/peaches/apricots/raspberries etc etc (tinned is fine) and then drizzle with strawberry sauce or any other sauce you want. Grate some chocoalte over the top.
