Just been invited on 'come dine with me'?
26 Answers
I have not shown an interest before, but I am registered on a site to be an extra in film tv etc. They have contacted me because they say they are in the area.
I watch come dine with me...
But I don't think it is something suited to me I don't really like cooking, and people on the show often appear/come across to be idiots so it could be a bad move for my personal reputation.

If they have shown an initial interest it would be interesting to see whether you make the further selection stages.
For that reason I'd go along with it, but NOT sign anything.
The further selection stages being such that the producers consider your public humiliation entertaining enough.
I agree with Craft1948

When CDWM first started I really wanted to be on the program but the early ones are pretty tame compared to now.
I don't want to be on it now. I love Dave Lamb but think even he goes a step too far when he comments on some guests.
Incidently there was a girl on it I went to school with. She was a bitch then and looks like she hasn't changed much.

I haven't really watched the programme but from what I have seen it isn't to my taste so I don't watch it.
I heard recently that a cousin of mine who lives in Cyprus went on their version and was slated by the other contestants and general public because she put an extra spice in a popular Cypriot soup dish which she shouldn't have done. I thought the who point of the show was to cook whatever you want with your own take on a recipe or make your own concoction up.

i would cook something very simple and cheap as they give you £500 quid for ingredients.and just spend £50 so you will be £450 beter off straight away.and im not sure but dont they pay you for being a contestant too and the prize moneys a grand.just be yourself and not act like your the center attraction there usally the one who get portrayed as idiots
thanks for all the answers, I am interested purely for a laugh, but it has occurred to me I am about 30-45 minutes drive from the centre of where the show is based so I may be too far away anyway. I have responded just via replying to her email instead of ringing ASAP like she said should I ring do you think?
