I'm yet to find a ready meal that tastes any good. Would you have time to perhaps make something beforehand that can be put in the fridge and then just bunged in the oven to warm up on Friday?

The only thing I can think of that microwaves well for a healthy meal is jacket potatoes.

You could always cook up a batch of something at the weekend, spag bol, curry, pasta sauce that can be used for different meals and soup, shove in freezer and take out as you need... That way you can microwave it, they'll taste better and you'll know what's actually in it.

its for this fri so the weekend is after lol
Make something now or tomorrow then as Pinki says.
A bag of pasta and a jar of a nice pasta sauce - Lloyd grossman or the the Sacla stir in ones are nice too - it would be ready in under 15 minutes. time enough to shove in a garlic bread too!
Could you get a cooked chicken on the way home and serve with some microwavable potatoes and veg (you can get prepared, fresh veg that will go in the microwave) and some gravy granules? It will take ten minutes tops to have a (sort of) roast dinner.
egg & chips --my favourite

What about getting a couple of those Uncle Bens Express rice and just quickly fry it with some stir-fry veg and ready to eat chicken.

I know the veg isn't microwaveble but it'll be very quick and the chicken is already cooked. Or better still just get a hot chicken. I think most supermarkets do them these days.
Didn't see you there Sherrard! Snap :o)
Could always get someone else to have your meal ready since you're working late -now that would be a nice treat :)
