Making a big batch of bolognese..

Hey all!

Hope we are all well?

As I am currently enjoying some time as a lady of leisure... I am today making a big batch of bolognese. We will be having some for dinner tonight but as we will be going to the gym when my OH gets in from work, I want to make it earlier to reheat some when we get home.

Can I just make it as I normally would, and then leave the pan on the hob (hob switched off!) with it in until we get home, then seperate some to reheat and put the rest in the freezer?

Can't see a problem with that, providing it's reheated properly.

Yes, I do that quite regularly, will be fine.

I always make enough for six single portions, use one on the day then freeze the rest in separate containers. No probs.

Bolognese is made and sitting on the hob,.. may get eaten sooner then planned anyway as now Mr Wiggal is at home, apparently football is on later so gym is looking unlikely lol!

I think things like Bolognese and curries are better on the second day.

Give him a takeaway tonight, and the pasta tomorrow, perhaps?

For some reason once its defrosted it always seems to need more parmesan in it,... or that might just be my excuse :)

I put some arabattia sauce in the freezer, defrosted it for yesterday, it was spicier than ever - lovely!
