Australian junior masterchef

I loved the adult one because i love the aussies.....but is this junior one the most "staged" programme you've seen ???

A few weeks ago, they had to crack some eggs to make something and half of the kids didn't know how to. In the same programme, the kids made what i can only describe as an oriental masterpiece again, despite most admitting that they haven't a clue about Asian food.

now im all for teaching kids to cook and that but they've only been cooking a year or two and are producing Michelin star quality food in front of the cameras.

Masterchef, whether it's UK/Oz/Professional/Amateur/Junior has always been heavily coached with the contestants being given masterclasses by top chefs. Sadly it is now becoming much more apparent and is contributing to the downfall of the whole concept.

This trend seems to be everywhere these days, especially on old radio formats such as I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue, Just a Minute and The News Quiz. I still listen to them but don't think of them as favourably as I used to.
