Ummmm, (jokingly), Yahweh should have made you an honorary Jewess, or Allah a Muslim!
I think it holds for virtually everything that of you get things really natural and fresh, they always taste better. I think of all I have been privileged to try in my life, I put fresh grapefruit off the tree up there - so different to anything you buy out of a f and v shop, a costermongers or supermarket......and brilliant with gin or a vodka!
Next to that, asparagus and jersey royals straight off the field and I have a weakness for fresh raspberries (with a homemade meringue and Cornish double cream). On that score, one of the remarkable ones is to taste Callestick ice cream in the shops and then the farm - that is about a mile as the crow flies from here and is something totally different in taste. Having said that, even Ben & Jerry's ice cream in Watersbury, Vermont, tastes very different at source.
