I think this should really be in Food and Drink but here goes. I have to do a finger buffet for about 100 people soon.Has anyone got any suggestions for something fairly simple but a bit different. It seemed like a good idea when I said I would do it. Many thanks in advance.

Indian potato pie?

Lemon & Honey Chicken?

Those are among the (easy!) possibilities which caught my eye here:

Potato salad with paprika and quail eggs. (Or chopped hen eggs)
Rice sald with tinned apricots or peahes with lightly cooked fine beans
Call me old fashioned, but I would not really want to eat fingers at a buffet or anywhere else for that matter.
Oh, I don't know, JB.

Tastefully arranged, they might be quite nice ;-)

Quail eggs? how posh - and expensive. Does finger buffet imply that you have to use your fingers and are not supplied with eating utensils? If so, just how solid will Indian potato pie be - will it fall apart when you pick it up, Chris, I don't want to spoil my party dress.
How about:

mini yorkshire puds with beef and horseradish
slices of duck served on cucumber rounds with hoisin sauce
mini croustades (just use rounds of toast stamped out with a pastry cutter) with smoked salmon, beetroot and wasabi creme fraiche
mini quiches
cherry tomatoes with pesto and mozzarella (halve the tomatoes, fill with pesto, stick a cube of cheese to keep in the filling)
scallop and chorizo squewers (just a light cooked scallop with a chorizo slice on a cocktail stick)
And mini scones with fresh cream and strawberries for dessert.
I'm not suggesting that you should buy it from M&S, but have a look at some of the ideas on here - little wraps etc seem to go down very well at the moment!
