Update on Mercia, for those etc.

As the antibiotics don't seem to be working, (since may 10th, 500mg of either clarithromycin, those were for two weeks, and erythromycin up to last Thursday) Mercia asked them if she could try Manuka Honey and it seems to be working - the swelling is very much down as is the heat and redness. They want to keep her in for another week but she's champing at the bit to get home. I've passed on the hugs and best wishes and she said to say thank you all for your kindness.

You can get it at Holland and Barrett, but my daughter gets it from a web site in special capsules to take and a liquid form to use like a cream on the wound itself.
I heard about Manuka being good for arthritis so decidedd to give it a go, when I got it I saw in small print "Do not use if you have high blood pressure" I have - so put it away and forgot about it. Months later having a really bad bout of pain decided to try it, what a reaction , felt woozy, high and shaky, I threw it away, it doesn't suit everyone but if it works for Mercia brilliant, best wishes to both of you.
