Prawn Cocktail Flavouring Recipe

I want to make prawn cocktail flavoured popcorn does anyone have a recipe for the flavouring?

Why would you do that?
If you want savory popcorn add paprika tobutter and melt then toss the popcorn in it

I guess you'd have to find out what flavouring they put in prawn cocktail flavoured crisps.

It does sound gross, however there's no accounting for taste, so I had a ponder for you, and the only thing I could think of what to mash up dried shrimps with onion powder and sprinkle that on your popcorn.

You would have to find an Asian store and by some dried shrimp and pulverize them into some salt with a bit of garlic and onion powders.

I love prawn cocktail crisps. If I liked popcorn I'm sure it would taste quite nice!

Here are the ingredients for Walls version....about as close to a 'recipe' as you will get...all quite artificial...

Potatoes, Sunflower Oil (33%), Prawn cocktail Seasoning.

Prawn Cocoktail Seasoning contains: Flavouring, Sugar, Salt, Glucose, Citric Acid from Sugar Beet Molasses, Potassium Chloride, Dried Onion, Dried Tomato, Colour (Paprika Extract), Sweetener (Sucralose).

Dried shrimp, even shrimp powder is quite gritty.
