marinade for steak

can anyone recommend a good steak marinade - and how long you can leave it for?
I want it to tenderise but not over flavour, as we're having it with raclette. Thank you x

If you want tender steak, buy fillet in the first place. Tesco have a good offer on four fillets atm.

oh no, i've already bought some!
I could only go today, and could only get to asda - i got beef medalions form their butchers choice range. i don't actually know what cut they are!

Just salt and black pepper. The rest will just spoil a good steak.

Why are you serving steak with raclette? Isn't that just a protein overdose?

I use olive oil, fresh thyme and a smashed garlic clove.
