Easy jubilee home baking??
15 Answers
I need to produce some home baking for the scout jubilee picnic, it'll be adults and all ages of kids. All families have all been asked to bring along something sweet for afters, they are supplying the savoury stuff.
I can cook, but I am not a baker. I don't have much equipment and have a fan oven that doesn't cook evenly. Considering i can get a tray of donuts for a few quid, i also don't want to spend too much making something crap :o)
Anyone got any ideas/recipes that I could manage that would look okay on a jubilee theme and wont break the bank?

The Tesco value sponge mix is defo the way to go, turns outs very light, even my MIL likes it. Though I use two packets to get it nice and big, whip up some double cream and add a little icing sugar, few strawberries on top. sorted. Enjoy, no one is doing anything in my area pity, had a great time at the last jubilee party.
