Mr Leopold Bloom ate with relish the inner organs of beasts and fouls. Heliked thick giblet soup, nutty gizzards, a stuffed roast heart, liver slices fried with crustcrumbs, fried hencod's roes. Most of all he liked grilled mutton kidneys which gave to his palate a fine tang of faintly scented urine.

What will you be having for breakfast on this fine Bloomsday?

Weetabix. Two with cold milk.
toasted bagel for me thanks.
Bloomsday already - time flies.
Today just coffee, but in Ireland tomorrow so may indulge in a full Irish then.
Nothing after reading that, eugh!
Happy Bloomsday sandy x
I have forgotten why I have never managed to read Joyce...thanks for reminding me.
It sounds a bit heavy for breakfast, but it sounds yummy (apart from the urine, that is).
I don't mind a bit of offal here and there, but not like that and not for breakfast. I haven't had a steak and kidney pie for ages and I can't remember the last time I had liver.
Having a pair of Kippers (my Mum's boyfriend brought some down from Scotland yesterday), home made bread and fresh butter...yumm, one of my favourite breakfasts.
