Your Tuna Pasta Bake

Afternoon all,
It's struck me that I haven't had a pasta bake in years - I mean maybe 5 years or something.
Anyway, we're making one tonight. I wondered if anyone had a favourite recipe they always use, or just a a few general tips to ensure that it is the best pasta bake ever?
I think we're doing Tuna, so maybe that's worth keeping in mind when you educate me.

I put a tin or two of tuna in a bowl, with a jar of ready made Bolognese sauce (maybe a spicy one), a tin of chopped tomatoes, and mix it all together and heat it in the microwave.
Sometimes I put in some "easy garlic" or maybe a few drops of a spicy sauce (peri peri sauce for example), also maybe some sweetcorn from a tin). Last night we had some pepperami meat sticks in the fridge so I cut a couple up to give it some extra body.
I then cook the pasta in a saucepan, pour it all in a low dish, and grate some cheddar cheese over the top. Maybe also some parmisan cheese on the top as well.
Put it in the oven for only 15 or 20 minutes (the pasta has just been cooked and the sauce has been heated in the microwave so it does not need long in the oven).
Remove from oven, sprinkle on some more parmisan cheese and a quick and tasty meal.

I was literally salivating whilst reading that Waitrose recipe then :-)
I've gone with that one before but, and this is personal preference only, switch the 'essential' peas and sweetcorn to their organic range. I don't think you can taste much difference when it comes to cheese, but definitely so with fruit and vegetables. I also used gluten free pasta (think that's in their 'Love Life' range) as I hate the 'bloated' feeling you get with pasta. Meh.
Any chance you could lay a couple more placemats ed?

I'm sorry but Tuna Pasta Bake makes me think of ghastly US recipes where you take a tin of tuna, a ready made pasta sauce and some pasta and bung it altogether witha tin of condensed soup.
For that reason I have never been able to bring myself to eat a tuna pasta bake, I do have some nice recipes for tuna and pasta.
For no good reason beyond lasagne I rarely eat a pasta bake. However, pastichio and Carluccio's Vincigrassi do grace my table occasionally.
