I want to try to make my own puff pastry after seeing Pies and Puds last night. Unsalted butter is impossible to get locally so can I use salted if it is being used in a savoury dish?

I always use salted butter irrespective of sweet or savoury.

Don't know where you live cats but unsalted butter is normally easy to find. Can't you get Lurpak down your way ?
